Solstice Challenge: Block 3

I am having so much fun with this Solstice Challenge by Pat Sloan! Block 3 took me no time and now I want to make entire quilts out of it. I’m still trying to get over the panic attacks of cutting into my Kaffe Fassett stash but I’m sure I’m not the only one. (Sidenote: it’s helping me that I know for a fact, if I died tomorrow, the only person who would know what the stash was is my mother.) I mean, it does need to be used, right?

Block 3: Tide Pool

In between everything in my life, which I don’t want to bore you all on but may write a post in a few weeks, I’m working on lots of swaps on Instagram. Do you like swaps or do you stay far away?

Hi NQB blog hop sister, I totally understand about cutting into the stash. I have some vintage pieces of fabric that may likely never cross my path again. (deep breath) Life is supposed to be a journey, right? And we are here to enjoy what is in our lives now and let go for what is to come. 🙂

Thanks for inviting us to view your blog during this blog hop. I too have been sewing from a very young age. i shared sewing with my mom but we never got to quilt together.

My favorite part of quilting is piecing. I love creating something tangible from raw materials: thread, fabric pieces, my ideas, my sewing machines.
